Raymond Santana was born September 7, 1974, in Atlanta, Georgia, United States America. Santana was named after his father, Raymond Santana. While he served in prison, he did his schooling in prison. In 2017, Santana eventually finished from Bronx Preparatory High School and also received his degree along with his friends, Yusef and Kevin.
Career
Alongside his four friends, Antron McCray, Yusef Salaam, Kevin Richardson, and Korey Wise, Raymond was arrested in the famous Central Park joggers rape case. They were accused and found guilty of the assault and rape case of New York City jogger, Trisha Ellen Meili, who was brutally attacked and raped.
In the 2nd trial of New York Court, Raymond as well as his other four friends received imprisonment of 5 to 15 years. They were all remanded in prison until a serial rapist named Matias Reyes confessed to the assault and murder of Trisha in Central Park; there was DNA evidence to corroborate the rapist’s claim.
Fast-forward to December 19, 2002, the charges were dropped and the four were discharged. When he left prison, Santana filed a lawsuit against New York City for torturing him, malicious prosecution, and racial discrimination. The then New York City’s Mayor, Michael Bloomberg refused to settle the lawsuits.
When Bill de Blasio came on board as Mayor of NYC, he made a decision to settle with 5 men and awarded them $41 million.
He founded the clothing line company, Park Madison NYC in 2015. After founding the company, he pursued his career in fashion design, which he missed due to false rape accusations.

Raymond Santana has been married twice. Firstly, he was married to his long-time girlfriend, Nekesta Samone Shelton and they had a daughter together named Melia Symone.
