Michael Strahan is an American television personality, journalist, and former professional American football player with an estimated net worth of $70 million. Strahan played with the New York Giants of the National Football League for 15 seasons. He also helped the team win Super Bowl XLII in 2007.

Michael T. Strahan was born on November 21, 1971, in Houston, Texas, United States. His father, Gene Willie Strahan, was a retired Army Major and a boxer and his mother Louise (Traylor) Strahan, was a basketball coach. Strahan is the youngest child of six children.
His family moved to an army post (Benjamin Franklin Village), in Mannheim, West Germany when he was 9 years of age.
Education
Michael Strahan attended Westbury High School where he played school football in his senior year. He also attended Mannheim American High School (MAHS). Strahan was then offered a scholarship to Texas Southern University where he graduated in 1993.
Career
Michael Strahan was drafted by the New York Giants in 1993. Although he played on six games due to injuries and missed the Giants’ two playoff games of the season. His breakthrough season came in 1997 when he recorded 14 sacks.
In the 2001 season, Strahan set the NFL record of 22.5 sacks in a single season, the highest tally since it was made an official statistic in 1982.
Strahan retired from playing American football on June 9, 2008. He retired with 141.5 career sacks (fifth all-time when he retired), 854 career tackles, four career interceptions, 24 forced fumbles and three career touchdowns in 200 games over a 15-year career (through the 2007 season). Strahan was also named to the Pro Bowl roster seven times.
Moving onto media duties, Strahan joined the Fox NFL Sunday pregame show alongside other analysts. On October 1, 2010, he co-hosted “Live! with Regis and Kelly” as a guest with Kelly Ripa following the absence of Regis Philbin. Two years later, he became the official co-host of the show.
Thereafter, he left the Live! with Kelly and Michael show to begin working full-time on “Good Morning America”. He began hosting the show with Sara Haines. In January 2019, the show was renamed “Strahan and Sara”, then finally “Strahan, Sara and Keke” in August 2019. However, the show was cancelled in March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
