Nivea Hamilton started her music career in 2001 with her first single, “Danger”, which happened to be Mystikal’s number hit. She later released her first album that same year naming it after herself. The album reached the Top 100 of the U.S. Billboard 200 albums chart.
In 2002, Hamilton released “Don’t Mess with my Man”, her second single, featuring Brandon and Brian Casey (of R&B group Jagged Edge). Kelly and famous comedian, Nick Cannon as it ranked 20 on R&B and 58 on the Hot 100.
Nivea then released another single, “Okay” in 2005, the project’s lead single, which featured an American rapper, Lil’ Jon, and Hip Hop duo, YoungbloodZ. Nivea renewed her contract with Formula Records in 2006. Thereafter, she released another single, “Love Hurts” featuring Lil’ Wayne in 2010.
After announcing her upcoming release of an acoustic EP titled Nivea early in 2011, Nivea was arrested for driving under alcoholic influences- DUI charges.
