Peter Voutsas was born on January 1, 1962, in Beverly Hills, California, United States of America. While details of his childhood are sketchy, it is certain, Peter Marco grew up in the poor suburbs of New York City.
At age 14, Marco started working as a cleaner for a New York jeweller. In a few months, Marco became a jeweller and kept learning all he needed to grasp including how to do custom jewellery work, polishing, and diamond settings.
Career
When he was done with school, and given his diligence at work, he was promoted to the position of a salesman. Shortly after he was made salesman, Marco travelled eleven out of twelve months for a period of four years, going door to door, and selling jewellery.
With that exposure and experience gathered, Marco left the U.S. to explore international markets such as Tokyo, Hong Kong, and other parts of Asia, not ignoring Europe. Marco has also been to Canada, the Cayman Islands, and the Caribbean.
Currently, Marco is the owner of a jewels store at 252 North Rodeo Drive, Beverly Hills, California 90210. His store offers necklaces, diamonds, bracelets, pendants, earrings, rings, and other accessories.
All of Marco’s diamonds are GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certified. After their analyses, GIA issues certified reports listing the carat weight, clarity, cut, and colour.
Sometime in 2008, Marco named his boutique, Peter Marco, after the first names of his two sons.
