Dave Kindig was born in Salt Lake, Utah, America on the 6th February 1971. As a child, he loved cars just as much as he loved designing. He started by drawing all kinds of insects and then moved on to other objects of interest. After completing school, Dave landed a job at ‘High-Performance Coatings’ where his love for designing was enhanced further. In 1999, he decided it was time to launch his own design business which he named ‘Kindig-IT Design’.

Dave Kindig started out his career as a self-made artist. He did not receive any formal training in the art and design craft. Car design was an acquired passion and most of his knowledge came from working at High-Performance Coatings.
In 1999, he quit his job and started out his own business with four thousand dollars in a 4,500 square feet workplace which was a sublet. Presently, the business occupies 27,000 square feet of space which is all owned by Dave. He began his custom car designs without the aid of a computer. With pencils and papers, his creativity was brought to life.
