Iman Shumpert attended Gwendolyn Brooks Middle School in Oak Park, Illinois where he was a member of the school’s basketball team. He also attended Oak Park and River Forest High School. Thereafter, he enrolled on an undergraduate program at George Tech College.
Career
Iman Shumpert was drafted with the 17th overall pick in the 2011 NBA draft by the New York Knicks. He was selected to compete in the 2012 NBA All-Star Weekend Slam Dunk Contest, however, could not participate due to a knee injury.
On January 5, 2015, Shumpert signed with the Cleveland Cavaliers from the New York Knicks. He made his debut for the Cavaliers with a 129-9- win over the Charlotte Hornets. That same year, he resigned with a four-year contract worth $40 million with the Cavaliers.
