Kathleen Mary Griffin was born on November 4, 1960, in Oak Park, Illinois. She was born to John Griffin (father) and Mary Margaret “Maggie” Griffin (mother). Kathleen grew up with four older siblings. In 2014 and 2017, he lost two of his siblings Gary and Joyce respectively to cancer.
