RaaShaun Casey popularly known as DJ Envy was born on September 3, 1977, in Queens, New York City, United States. Little is known about his upbringing. For his education, Casey graduated with a Business Management from Hampton University in 1999.
Professional Career
Casey started his career as DJ Shrimp. He was an acquaintance of DJ Clue who tutored and mentored him as well. While under DJ Clue’s tutelage, he was introduced into the mixtape circuit while also working as his gardener.
DJ Envy soon climbed up the ranks and was already doing commercials and exclusives for big-name rappers like 50 Cent, Jay-Z, and The L.O.X by the early 2000s.
