Mark Reed Levin was born on September 21, 1957, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America. His father, Jack E. Levin was an author of several books and his mother, Norma Levin was a housewife. Mark has three brothers, one of which is Doug Levin. Levin grew up in Erdenheim as well as Elkins Park.

Education

Mark Levin attended and graduated from Cheltenham High School, graduating in 1974. Skipping his senior year of high school, he enrolled at Temple University Ambler and graduated Magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science in 1977. Three years later, Levin earned a J.D. from Temple University School of Law.

Career

After leaving law school, Levin got a job in Texas Instruments. In 1981, he began work in the administration of President Ronald Reagan. He was subsequently, appointed the chief of staff to Attorney General Edwin Meese. 

Following his departure from the Reagan administration, Levin practised law in the private sector. In 1991, he joined the public interest law firm, Landmark Legal Foundation. Levin was reportedly paid $300,000 per year as president of the non-profit Landmark Legal Foundation. In 2018, Levin stepped out as president of Landmark Legal but remained on its board of directors.

Levin made his broadcasting debut as a guest on conservative talk radio programs. For years, he was a contributor of legal opinions to The Rush Limbaugh Show. Around this time, he was noticed by Sean Hannity, who began to feature him on his radio show.

Eventually, he gained a radio slot of his own on WABC. In 2006, Cumulus Media Networks began syndicating The Mark Levin Show. On February 11, 2016, Levin signed a 10-year contract extension with Westwood One which will take his show through 2025.
