Jon Rahm was born on November 10, 1994, in Barrika, Biscay, Spain. His father’s name is Edorta Rahm and his mother’s name is Angela Rodriguez. Jon has one sibling: a brother Eric Rahm.

Jon Rahm attended IES Ortega y Gassett, a high school in Madrid, Spain. Thereafter, he attended Arizona State University on a golf scholarship, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications. While in college, he won 11 college golf tournaments, which is second in the school’s history.
Career
As an amateur golfer, Jon Rahm became the first player to win the Ben Hogan Award twice; in 2015 and 2016. He competed in the 2015 Phoenix Open during his junior year still as an amateur and finished fifth place. In April 2015, Rahm became the 28th player to be the No. 1-ranked golfer in the World Amateur Golf Ranking.
