Early Life
Nicholaus Joseph Williams was born in Port of Spain, Trinidad, and Tobago on September 24, 1987. Not too long after he was born, his family moved to Canada and Florida then decided to settle in the Bronx, New York City. According to him, he cannot remember any part of his life before the age of seven because of a head injury.
In the eighth grade, Williams moved to Atlantan where he began playing basketball. In November 2011, Trinidad began rapping.

Career
Trinidad James released his official debut single, “All Gold Everything”, in 2012 which charted in the top 40 of the US Billboard Hot 100. The song was taken from his official debut mixtape “Don’t Be S.A.F.E. (Sensitive As Fuck Everyday)”, which was released on July 31, 2012. The music video was released on October 16, 2012.
Shortly after the release of his album, James signed a joint venture with Def Jam Records for approximately $2 million. In his remix of “All Gold Everything”, James featured 2 Chainz, T.I., and Young Jeezy.
James gave promissory notes about his second mixtape “10 PC Mild”, but months passed and there was still no mixtape. In response, Def Jam Recordings dropped him as a signed artist on August 1, 2014.
Two years later, in April 2016, James released a single Just a “Lil’ Thick (She Juicy)” where he worked with Mystikal and Lil Dicky.
