Shéyaa Bin Abraham-Joseph was born on October 22, 1992, in Plaistow, London, United Kingdom. He was born to his father, Kevin Cornelius Emmons and his mother, Heather Carmilla. He is of Caribbean descent.
Shéyaa has twin sisters, Kyra and Jayda Davis who lives with his father and grandfather in London. His parents separated when he was still very young. 21 Savage moved with his mother to Atlanta, Georgia when he was age seven.
While in Seventh grade, 21 Savage was found in a possession of a gan and subsequently, banned from attending every school in DeKalb County School District. This led to him attending schools located in the Atlanta metropolitan area.
